1 Corinthians 10:31

Welcome to MyShareKit. A place where we can share our AmpKit setups. I love AmpKit, a guitar app for the iPhone and iPad, and was looking around to see if I could find any AmpKit setups that people are sharing and there were none, so I thought I would make a place where we all can share our setups and sounds.

In order to keep the site running, if you find that this site is of any benefit to you, *cough* *cough*, if you can contribute anything, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for everything... Rock on!

This is my attempt to duplicate the sound of Izzy's rhythm guitar lines on the Appetite for Destruction album. It has that perfect mix of distortion that allows for amazing tone when mixing power chords and standard chords together. There is an emphasis on treble as Izzy often includes higher pitched blues licks into his rhythmic lines. This sound was designed using a 1981 Westone Rainbow 1 semi-hollow body electric, so it may need some tweaking on solid-body guitars.

I use this set-up for 70's Rock (Paranoid - Sabbath, Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple etc). It can be used for other decades of cause too I just feel it suits these best. So switch to your Bridge pick-up, turn down the tone and enjoy.

Modeled after info found on the internet about Cobain's actual rigs and settings. Used a Valve King head and messed with it till it sounded right although Cobain used a Mesa Boogie MKIII. Couldnt find a head that sounded right. Used the Colonel 900 4x12 cab since its modeled after the Marshall's he used. Distortoise is based off the same pedal Cobain used in the early years, Boss DS-1, and is actually set to the same settings he used. Cobain's chorus isnt in ampkit so i just used the stock one and tweaked until it sounded right. Played on my HSS Strat with the humbucker only.

An attempt at Jerry Garcia's epic distorted envelope tone used throughout the 70s and made famous by Estimated Prophet and Shakedown Street. Great tone, play with the delay and reverb depending on the output device.

A nice setup for slow lead riffs which allow the reverse delay to take full effect. Hope you like it.
